The last in my list of songs that my Dad loved is this classic 80s hit from Murray Head.
This is one of those 45s that my Dad and I would always play. It comes from the concept album for the musical Chess. The song is a fantastic blend of various styles of music, and the lyrics are burned into my brain forever.
Murray took the track to #3 on the Hot 100 in 1984 in the United States and Canada. I have hung on to the 45 single for all these years. It's unplayable, with no cover, but it was my Dad's, and it helps me feel he is still here.
