Mike + The Mechanics - All I Need is a Miracle

Why is it that when things are bad, they are bad all over? I think I am going through a mid-life crisis, but not by any choice of my own. We are faced with negativity day after day after day. The world is on fire, and all we can do is watch. Why is it so hard to find a comedy on Netflix? Why is comedy almost outlawed? I was in a dark place over the last couple of weeks. April is a hard month for me. I have 2 ups and 3 downs, all within 3 weeks of each other. Talk about a bipolar month. I am committed to making me the best Jimmy I can be. This may mean resetting many things, but the one thing I will never reset is my love for music.

After another arduous week, I decided to kick this week off with an optimistic song of the day. This Sunday's Song of the Day comes from the supergroup Mike + The Mechanics. The band formed in 1985 with Mike Rutherford (Genesis), Paul Carrack (Ace), Paul Young, Adrian Lee, and Peter Van Hooke. Mike + The Mechanics had many hits in the late 1980s, including the #1, "The Living Years" (which I will cover, but not in April, not ever in April). Other hits by the band include "Silent Running" #6, "Taken In" #32, and the Song of the Day today, "All I Need Is a Miracle."

"All I Need Is a Miracle" is an upbeat hit with amazing hooks and a positive message about not giving up. With lead vocals by the late Paul Young, the track has a unique, soulful voice sung with conviction and passion. After hearing this amazing track, I feel you are filled with hope, positivity, and faith. This is one of my go-to tracks whenever I need a slap in the face and a reminder that I matter, I can make my own change, and I deserve happiness. All I Need Is a Miracle, All I Need Is You. The You = Me!
