John Waite - If Anybody Had A Heart

I'm a hopeless romantic. Honestly, I am. I have always been a sucker for a romantic comedy, a love song, and a classic love story. About Last Night is one of those movies that tugs at my heart every time I see it. It's a classic love story starring Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, and Jim Belushi. I am also a sucker for movies set in Chicago. This movie has both of those and a kick-ass soundtrack. Tracks by John Oates, Sheena Easton, Bob Seger, Jermaine Jackson, and today's Song of the Day by Jonn Waite. "If Anybody Had A Heart" is a classic John Waite ballad about longing for love.

I came upon About Last Night in the early 90's while dealing with a heart-wrenching breakup. I was miserable, and this movie and song helped me overcome the longing to talk to this person again. I never could understand how you could talk with someone almost every day, and then one day you are done, no communication at all, OVER JOHNNY. This movie and soundtrack were the tricks that helped me move on. "If Anybody Had A Heart" reminded me that I had a big heart, was a good guy, and deserved love. It spoke to me and told me it was not the right relationship; it was not the right heart. After losing both of my Parents, I now know what it's like to not talk to someone you miss, really miss. John Waite is a fantastic singer, Songwriter, and performer. His work with The Baby's, Bad English, and Solo are all amazing! If Anybody Had A Heart, this world would be a better place.
